When I got on the tram this morning I needed to purchase a met card so I lined up and waited.. and waited.. and waited.. and waited. And eventually the woman in front of me turned around and said "oh I'm sorry I was cleaning out my 5 cent jar today!". She was purchasing a $6.30 met card all with 5 cent pieces! That's 126 coins! Surely she would have been better off using them every so often rather than all at once!

heh heh... this makes me think of our change box where we keep 1, 2, and 5 eurocent pieces and I keep on wondering how we're actually going to use it one of these days - it's SOO many coins. But essentially I'd be surprised if there was 10 EURs in there. :/
Bleh! 5c coins are almost useless nowadays. I use to keep a big giant jar at home where I chucked all the leftover coins everyday. After about 4 months, I counted the 5c coins there and it amounted to a measly $25! I much prefer the gold coins (more than $200 worth) :-)
